The Belgian striker has been adapting to life at Old Trafford following his move to the club from Everton in the summer transfer window last year.

Lukaku has made a decent start to his Manchester United career, scoring 20 goals and making five assists in all competitions for Jose Mourinho’s men.

However, the 24-year-old was unable to find the net in Manchester United’s dour goalless draw with Sevilla in the Champions League last 16 on Wednesday night.

And Manchester United legend Keane feels that Lukaku will have to step his game up in the coming weeks as he bids to help the Red Devils enjoy a successful end to the season.

Speaking to ITV Sport on Wednesday night, Keane said: “Talk is cheap. Man United is one of the biggest clubs on the planet and they have to do better and certain players have to up their game.

“Lukaku, for example. If he wants to become one of the great strikers at Man United and you get chances like he did (against Sevilla) you have to score in these tight games.”

Lukaku will be hoping to start for Manchester United when the Red Devils host Chelsea FC at Old Trafford in the crunch Premier League clash on Sunday afternoon.

The Red Devils head into the game in second place in the Premier League table as they look to try and get as close to Manchester City as possible.

Chelsea FC, meanwhile, warmed up for the clash with a 1-1 draw with FC Barcelona at Stamford Bridge in the Champions League on Tuesday night.
