JOSE MOURINHO wants to keep Paul Pogba at Manchester United.

The France international has had numerous bust-ups with the Special One this season.

Pogba, 25, has struggled to impress under Mourinho this time out, with the former Chelsea boss axing his star man from his starting line-up.

The United midfielder is said to be frustrated with Mourinho’s negative tactics.

Pobga has been linked with an Old Trafford exit in recent weeks, with Real Madrid and Barcelona said to be chasing the £89m star.

However, according to Yahoo Sport, Mourinho has decided to keep the midfielder.

The Special One is desperate to rebuild his relationship with Pogba in the coming months.

Yahoo also say that Mourinho feels Pogba has lost focus in recent months, leading to the Portuguese boss benching the ex-Juventus talisman.

“Jose likes the player, but the player does not have his head in football,” a source told Yahoo.

“Pogba is not focused on football, he has his head in music, in hairstyles, in shoes.”

Yahoo also say that Mourinho has spoken to France boss Didier Deschamps ahead of the World Cup in Russia this summer.

They claim Deschamps sympathised with Mourinho over his frustration with Pobga, who has scored just three goals in all competitions this time out.
