While front-wheel-drive cars are usually not associated with staggering performance, there were a few good examples featuring the “economy-car layout” that have achieved iconic status. Speaking of economy cars, this was a reputation Hyundai wanted to desperately shake off. While the Genesis brand and Hyundai’s N division have helped tremendously, Hyundai’s journey towards a more exciting brand started with another front-wheel-drive car – the Hyundai Tiburon. Sadly, while the stylish coupe had a lot going for it, Hyundai never utilized its full potential, which could have made it a proper rival to the Acura Integra.
