Carey is an American comedian, actor, and TV show host. After serving in the U.S. Marine Corps, he began his comedy career. Drew’s comedy was so successful that he had his own sitcom, The Drew Carey Show, which made him even more famous.

Drew has had always troubles with his health. Throughout his acting career, Drew’s weight was always the topic of other comedians’ jokes. Not only did he was made fun of, but Drew’s health was also becoming worse with every passing day. 

While struggling with weight, he was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. After which, Carey made the decision to get rid of his weight once and for all. And embarked on the journey to lose weight. While on this journey, Drew succeeded in shedding 60 pounds.

How did Carey Lose Weight?

Well, Carey lost weight because he had decided in his mind that he was getting rid of the unhealthy life. He made some big changes to the way he spent his day. Drew made some huge changes to his eating habits. He also engaged in working out.

Talking about which, Carey said, “Working out was the key. You can’t just diet.” He cut down the unhealthy foods from his menu and replaced them with healthy ones. Along with that, Drew also joined a gym near his home where he worked out for hours.

Drew opted for a low-carb diet. He completely eliminated bread and pasta from his diet. And in place of them, Carey included vegetables and fruits in his diet. He started eating more salad and less meat. Carey also stayed away from sugary products.

He also limited his alcohol consumption, substituting it with fruit juice. He would drink more water to keep the unnecessary hunger away. These untimely hunger temptations were the main reason behind Drew’s weight gain, which he eliminated succeedingly.

He said, “Whenever I felt like taking a bite of burger and pizza, I remembered the advice of Kate Moss (the British supermodel). She said to me ‘nothing tastes as good as skinny feels’ and it has changed my life.” So far, Carey has eliminated his old negative eating habits.
